Where to sleep at Bangkok airport depends first on which airport you mean. At Suvarnabhumi, the main international airport, the Miracle Transit Hotel on the third floor of the terminal rents rooms by the block of hours to travelers with a few hours to wait. At Don Mueang, the older airport used by many low-cost airlines, the Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok hotel is linked to the terminal by a walkway. Both are covered below, with what the airports and hotels themselves publish.
One point that affects the answer: Suvarnabhumi Airport is not in Bangkok. Its address is in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan province, east of the city. Don Mueang Airport is inside the City of Bangkok, in Don Mueang district in the north. The two are about 30 kilometers apart in a straight line (computed from map coordinates), so an overnight between flights at different airports needs planning.

Miracle Transit Hotel: rooms inside the terminal
The Miracle Transit Hotel describes itself as the only transit hotel in Thailand. It is on the 3rd floor of the International Departure Hall at Concourse A, and it is designed for passengers arriving at or departing from the airport who want somewhere to rest during a wait. Rooms are booked for blocks of 4 to 12 hours through the hotel's own website.
Because it sits in the international departure area, check with the hotel before booking which passengers can reach it, especially if you are arriving, connecting between airlines or flying domestically. Contact details are in the FAQ.
Hotels on and around the airport grounds
Google Places lists a Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport in the Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel Building on the airport grounds, also in Samut Prakan. Its official website did not load for us, so check facilities, the route to the terminal and rates directly with Hyatt. Other hotels near the airport are also in Samut Prakan, outside the city; BangkokVacay covers hotels within Bangkok itself.
Sleeping in the terminal
Airports of Thailand (AOT), which runs both airports, does not set out a rule on overnight waiting on the pages we could read. If you plan to wait through the night in the public areas, ask at an information counter or call the AOT Call Center on 1722.
Don Mueang Airport (DMK)
Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok
This is the one airport hotel inside the City of Bangkok. Amari says the hotel has 429 rooms and suites and is connected to the Don Mueang terminal by an overhead walkway. While that connection is being upgraded, the hotel says a temporary bridge walkway has been open since September 9, and it also runs a complimentary 24-hour round-trip shuttle to the airport on request. The rooms are being renovated until November 30, 2026, according to the hotel.
The hotel has a swimming pool, a fitness center and restaurants, including Zeppelin. Amari gives travel times of about five minutes to Don Mueang Airport, 25 minutes to BTS Mo Chit and 45 minutes to Suvarnabhumi.
A long layover at Don Mueang
Don Mueang is on the north side of the city, so a long daytime layover can reach the north Bangkok sights. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, for example, is about 14 kilometers from the airport in a straight line (computed), near BTS Mo Chit, which Amari puts at about 25 minutes from the hotel. When to stay in the city instead
If you land in the evening and fly out the next afternoon, a hotel in the city may make more sense than an airport room, especially if you want dinner or a morning of sightseeing. Plan for the journey: the Grand Palace is about 29 kilometers from Suvarnabhumi and 22 kilometers from Don Mueang in a straight line (computed), and road distances are longer.
