MahaNakhon SkyWalk or Baiyoke Sky: Which Bangkok Sky Deck to Book

MahaNakhon SkyWalk or Baiyoke Sky: Which Bangkok Sky Deck to Book

Bangkok has two towers that sell a ticket to anyone who wants the view: the MahaNakhon building in Silom, where the SkyWalk has an indoor deck on the 74th floor and an open-air rooftop on the 78th, and Baiyoke Sky Hotel in Pratunam, whose observation deck is on the 77th floor with a revolving viewpoint on the 84th. The MahaNakhon building also holds Sky Beach, a rooftop bar run by The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, which works differently from a SkyWalk ticket.

Pick the SkyWalk for open air and the glass floor, and Baiyoke when you want to pair the view with a buffet or arrive straight from the Airport Rail Link. Hours, ticket tiers and rules below come from each operator's own website, checked on October 3, 2026, with the exact figures in the FAQ.

MahaNakhon SkyWalk in Silom

King Power Mahanakhon is at 114 Narathiwas Ratchanakarin Road. You buy tickets on the ground floor, walk through a Bangkok-themed digital corridor and ride what the operator calls Thailand's fastest elevators to the 74th floor in under 50 seconds. The 74th floor is the indoor deck, with 360-degree views, interactive screens and binoculars. The 75th floor is a mezzanine, and the 78th floor is the rooftop and outdoor deck, where a 63-square-meter glass floor sits 310 meters above the ground and The Peak, which King Power calls Bangkok's highest viewpoint, reaches 314 meters.

The nearest rail stop is BTS Chong Nonsi, exit 3. The SkyWalk is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight, with last access at 11 p.m. Official tickets come in two time bands, before and after 3:30 p.m., with lower prices for children aged 8 to 12 and seniors over 60; the figures are in the FAQ. King Power sells tickets online, and Klook also lists a Mahanakhon SkyWalk ticket. On 3 October 2026 Klook was listing the code SUNMSTB for 20% off selected Mahanakhon SkyWalk ticket packages through 28 December 2026; codes change and are limited, so confirm the discount at checkout. Our King Power Mahanakhon SkyWalk listing has the venue details.

Sky Beach, the tower's rooftop bar

Sky Beach is run by The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon. The hotel says entry and seating are first come, first served with no bookings, that guests enter through King Power Mahanakhon's main entrance, that all ages are welcome, and that Sky Beach guests can go to the SkyWalk after 7 p.m. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight, with last access at 11 p.m. Klook lists a Sky Beach ticket whose page title also mentions the SkyWalk; read the product page for exactly what it includes. For the hotel itself, see The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon and our review.

Baiyoke Sky in Pratunam

Baiyoke Sky Hotel is at 222 Ratchaprarop Road and describes itself as Thailand's tallest hotel, at 88 stories. The observation deck on the 77th floor has maps, multimedia kiosks and coin-operated telescopes for picking out what lies below, and an extra option takes you up to the revolving viewpoint on the 84th floor. The hotel says that from there you can see as far as the Gulf of Thailand. The deck is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., though the hotel warns that hours may change during long holidays, and its admission includes one drink at the Roof Top Bar on the 83rd floor.

The hotel lists a few house rules: the observatory is non-smoking, betel nuts and chewing gum are not allowed, belongings go through a security check, and guests should follow staff instructions. Rail access is easy. The hotel says it is almost next to the Ratchaparop station on the Airport Rail Link, and that the Baiyoke group runs a free shuttle from the hotel to Ratchaparop, BTS Phaya Thai, BTS Ratchathewi and BTS Siam Square. Our guide to things to do in Pratunam covers the neighborhood, and the Baiyoke Sky listing has the venue details.

Eating at the top

The tower's restaurants double as viewing floors. The hotel lists Bangkok Sky on the 76th and 78th floors, Stella Palace on the 79th, Bangkok Balcony on the 81st and Crystal Grill on the 82nd, with dinner service from about 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. depending on the room. On Klook, a deck-only ticket sits beside buffet packages whose names include the observation deck: the 78th-floor Bangkok Sky buffet, the 81st-floor balcony buffet and the 82nd-floor Crystal Grill buffet. Check each product page for seating times, what the deck and drink cover, and the cancellation terms before you pay.

Which one to book

  • Open air and a glass floor: the SkyWalk's 78th-floor rooftop.
  • A drink with no booking: Sky Beach, which is first come, first served, or the Roof Top Bar at Baiyoke, which comes with the deck ticket.
  • A meal with the view: Baiyoke's restaurant floors, which are the only ones of the three that serve buffet dinners.
  • Staying in Silom or Sathorn: the SkyWalk is at BTS Chong Nonsi; see our guide to where Silom is.
  • Arriving on the Airport Rail Link or shopping in Pratunam: Baiyoke is the closer of the two.

Both towers are open after dark, the SkyWalk until midnight and Baiyoke until 10 p.m., so you can plan around the light you want rather than the opening time. Because the SkyWalk's tiers change at 3:30 p.m., look at the price band before you choose your slot.
