What is Sky Bar Bangkok?
Sky Bar is the circular open-air bar on the 64th floor of State Tower, 247 meters above Silom Road, run by lebua as part of The Dome at lebua. Its color-changing island bar appeared in The Hangover Part II, and the Hangovertini was created for the film's cast. It serves drinks only and takes no reservations.
Sky Bar asks every guest to order at least one drink, and applies a smart casual dress code: no athletic wear, swimwear, sleeveless shirts for men, flip-flops or beach slippers. Large bags and luggage cannot be taken up, video recording is not allowed at the bar, and children aged 7 and over may come with an adult. lebua puts Saphan Taksin BTS station about five minutes' walk away. For dinner at the same height, book Sirocco, the open-air Mediterranean restaurant a few steps away; the hotel below is lebua at State Tower.
Which rooftop bars are on Sukhumvit?
Four of the rooftop bars we cover are on Sukhumvit, spread along the BTS line from Nana to Thong Lo. Above Eleven and Spectrum are near BTS Nana, while Octave and Tichuca are toward Thong Lo. Octave takes bookings, and Tichuca is walk-in only.
- Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar spreads over several floors at the top of Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit, with a 360-degree view; a restaurant floor sits below the lounge and bar.
- Tichuca is built as an open-air jungle around a towering bamboo tree that glows after dark, with resident DJs nightly. Foreign visitors must show their original passport at the door.
- Above Eleven pairs a Peruvian-Japanese Nikkei menu with pisco cocktails, nightly DJs and salsa on Wednesdays, about 500 meters from BTS Nana.
- Spectrum Lounge & Bar has a live band on its 29th-floor lounge and DJs on the 30th-floor rooftop.
Where can you have dinner on a Bangkok rooftop?
For a full meal with the view, book Sirocco on the 64th floor of State Tower, Red Sky on the 55th floor of Centara Grand at CentralWorld, or the Nikkei menu at Above Eleven. Octave has a restaurant floor on the 45th. All four take reservations.
Red Sky serves modern European food with steaks and seafood, while Red Sky Bar on the 56th floor opens in the late afternoon for cocktails and light fare. Is Vertigo at Banyan Tree open?
No. Vertigo and Moon Bar, the open-air rooftop venues on the 61st floor of Banyan Tree Bangkok, are temporarily closed for a redesign, according to the hotel's dining pages, which give no reopening date. Check the hotel's website before planning an evening around them.
What else offers a rooftop view?
The Mahanakhon SkyWalk in Silom is an observation deck rather than a bar: King Power Mahanakhon calls it Thailand's highest 360-degree deck, at 314 meters, with a glass tray floor, and Sky Beach, the tower's rooftop bar, is at the top. On lebua's drink list updated 23 August 2026, signature cocktails cost THB 1,300 to 1,500, the Hangovertini THB 1,500 and non-alcoholic cocktails THB 900, plus 10% service charge and 7% tax. Each guest must order at least one drink.
