Safari World Bangkok Tickets, Hours and How to Get There

Safari World is a drive-through safari park and a walk-around marine park in one site, in Khlong Sam Wa district on Bangkok's northeastern edge. It is inside the City of Bangkok, unlike Dream World, which is in Pathum Thani. By the coordinates Google lists for it, the park is about 23 km in a straight line from Siam, and the real journey by road is longer, so it works as a full-day trip by car or taxi rather than a quick stop.

This guide covers where the park is, the hours on its current ticket site, how its tickets are sold, how to get there, and two things to weigh before you decide. Everything about the park comes from its own websites, read on October 3, 2026, and the Thai-language pages are translated by us.

The opening hours are printed in the header of the park's official ticket site, safariworld.com, which redirects to ticket.safariworld.com. Older information pages that are still online on safariworld.com say the park is open 365 days a year from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Those pages look like they date from years ago, so we have followed the ticket site, but phone the park or check its Facebook page before you travel on a Monday or a public holiday.

What you will find inside

The park's older information pages describe two zones. Safari Park is a drive-through route that it puts at 8 km and about 45 minutes, which you can do in your own car or on one of the park's coaches, with English-speaking guides available on request, and a tiger and lion feeding show. Marine Park is the walk-around side, which the park describes as a showcase of animal performances and exhibits, with a jungle cruise river ride, attractions such as a game town and adventure island, and restaurants. The same information page lists daily shows including a spy-themed action stunt show, a water ski show, a dolphin show, a cowboy stunt show, a bird show, a sea lion show and an orangutan boxing show.

That list comes from the park's older pages, and the park's current show timetable is an image on its Thai page, so shows, timings and even which zones are open can differ from what is described here. Plan around the shows you most want to see once you have the day's timetable.

Tickets

The park's own ticket site is in Thai and, when we read it, was promoting a 40th anniversary pass. As we read the banner, it sells a card priced at 1,111 baht, described as one baht a day for three years, valid for adults and children, with children under 100 cm free. It does not show a one-day price list in English, so a visitor who wants a single day usually buys through a reseller. Check the pass terms before assuming it fits a one-time visit.

Klook sells the Safari World Bangkok ticket, and also the shared and private transfers to Safari World if you do not want to arrange the road trip yourself. A combined Safari World and SEA LIFE Ocean World full-day experience is also listed. Read each product page for what the ticket covers, including whether the safari drive and the shows are both included, the date rules and the cancellation terms, and compare the price with the park's own pass.

Getting there

On the pages we read, the park publishes no public transport directions. A taxi or a ride-hailing app is the practical choice from central Bangkok, and it helps to ask the driver to wait or to arrange the return in advance, since the park is far from the rail network. Our guides to using Grab in Bangkok and taxi fares in Bangkok explain the basics, and the Klook transfer mentioned above is another way to handle both legs.

Our Safari World listing has the map and contact details, and for other family days see our comparison of Bangkok theme parks and aquariums, Bangkok with kids and how far Dream World is from Bangkok.

Two things to weigh before you go

Safari World has drawn criticism for years over its animal shows. A CBS News report from September 2025 said the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand and PETA condemned the park's practices, and described its kickboxing orangutan and hula-hooping elephant shows as ones that conservationists say exploit the animals. A 2015 Nation Thailand report described the orangutan boxing show as one that parodies human behavior and drew mixed reactions from visitors.

On September 11, 2025, five lions at Safari World killed a zookeeper, and CBS reported that Thailand's Department of National Parks closed the big cat section for repairs after inspectors cited damaged fences, inadequate warning signs and too few security cameras, and that the park's zoo permit had expired in October 2024 and was awaiting renewal. We have not found a current statement from the park or the authorities on that section, so ask before you go if it matters to you. The park remains a large attraction with a long record, and visitors will reach different conclusions, but you should have these facts when you choose between it and other family days.
