The Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok is the city's largest road race, held this year over the weekend of November 28-29, 2026. The ninth edition is co-organized by the Thai government, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the police with Thailand Tri-League, and is certified by World Athletics.

Race schedule

• Saturday, November 28: half marathon (21.1 km), 4 am start from MBK Center on Phayathai Road, finishing at Sanam Luang. Cut-off 3.5 hours.
• Sunday, November 29: marathon (42.195 km), 2 am start at Sanam Luang, cut-off 7 hours.
• Sunday: 10 km at 6 am (cut-off 2 hours) and the 4.5 km family run at 6:45 am, both from Sanam Luang.

The organizers name Lumphini Park, Victory Monument, Wat Benchamabophit, Ratchadamnoen Avenue, Rama VIII Bridge, the Golden Mount and the Giant Swing among the landmarks on the courses, and every race finishes at Sanam Luang, the royal field beside the Grand Palace.

Registration and race packs

Registration is open until October 31, 2026. The last-minute rate runs from 700 baht for the shorter distances to 1,800 baht for the marathon. Race packs are collected at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, from 11 am to 8 pm, alongside a sporting goods expo.

Good to know

Expect road closures across the old town and downtown in the small hours of both days. Spectators can watch free along the course; the finish area at Sanam Luang is busiest from dawn.
