MBK Center has been one of Bangkok's best-known shopping stops for more than 36 years: an eight-storey shopping center on 23 rai at Pathumwan Junction, next to a 20-storey office tower, run by MBK Public Company Limited. Its strength is range and price, and it has reorganized its hundreds of small shops into zones, so souvenirs, fashion, jewelry, phones and gadgets, home goods, food and entertainment each have their own area.

It suits budget-minded shoppers, souvenir runs before a flight and anyone who wants a filling Thai lunch between sights around Siam. BTS National Stadium Station has a walkway straight into the building, and the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is across the junction, which makes the two an easy pairing for an afternoon.

Tourist privileges are handed out at the service counter on the G floor, Zone A, which also lends wheelchairs and baby strollers.
