Bangkok Design Week returns for its tenth edition from February 18 to 28, 2027, centered on the Charoen Krung and Talat Noi riverside neighborhoods, with programs in other parts of Bangkok. The organizer, the Creative Economy Agency (CEA), has set the theme as Design to Last: design that keeps adapting rather than chasing quick fixes.

The festival turns shophouses, galleries, warehouses, cafes and public spaces into venues for exhibitions, installations, talks, workshops, markets and night events. CEA describes it as Southeast Asia's largest design festival, with more than 400 programs from over 2,000 designers and creative businesses in a typical year.

Dates and program

The dates are fixed; the program itself was still being assembled when we checked, with CEA's open call for program partners closing on September 30, 2026. Expect the full list of venues and times to appear on the festival's program and plan-your-visit pages in the weeks before opening.

Where it happens

The main district runs along Charoen Krung Road through Bang Rak and Talat Noi, the old trading streets between the river and Chinatown. CEA's own office is in the Grand Postal Building at 1160 Charoen Krung Road, in the middle of the district. Much of the area is walkable, and river boats and the MRT around Hua Lamphong and Wat Mangkon are useful ways to reach it.

Good to know

February falls in Bangkok's cooler, drier months, which suits an evening walk between venues. Many programs are small, so pick a few areas rather than trying to cover the whole city in one night.
