Park Hyatt Bangkok
About
Park Hyatt Bangkok occupies most of Central Embassy, the silver-shingled tower on Wireless Road that the MICHELIN Guide says draws on the form of local pagodas, with direct access to the Central Embassy mall and Ploenchit BTS station. Its 222 rooms, 32 of them suites, start at 48 square meters, which the hotel says puts its entry-level rooms among the largest in the city.
It suits business travelers, shoppers and couples who want a quiet, contemporary room and a big night out without leaving the building. Penthouse Bar + Grill spreads a grill restaurant, a cocktail bar with live music and a whisky room across three levels, finishing at an open-air Rooftop Bar on level 36.
Rooms and suites
Rooms are modern and minimal, with floor-to-ceiling windows and open views over the city, and connecting combinations are available for families. Suites run from the Park Suite through the Governor, Diplomat and Ambassador Suites to the Presidential Suite. Premium and specialty suites include the Executive Retreat at The Park, which other guests can add as a package: a live-station lunch, afternoon tea and evening bites with drinks each day.
Pool, spa and fitness
The 40-meter saltwater pool has a 25-meter infinity-edge lap section, with loungers, cabanas and terraced gardens around it. The PAÑPURI ORGANIC SPA, operated independently rather than by the hotel, offers organic treatments, and the 24-hour fitness center on level 11 overlooks the garden terrace and is equipped by Technogym.
Getting around
Ploenchit BTS station is connected to the building, so the Skytrain is the quickest way to Siam, Sukhumvit and Silom. Central Chidlom department store is about 0.2 miles away, and the Jim Thompson House is among the sights the hotel suggests nearby. Parking is free, and guests can check in digitally and use a digital room key.
Recognition
The MICHELIN Guide gives Park Hyatt Bangkok Two MICHELIN Keys; the hotel notes this is the second consecutive year.
Restaurants and bars
The hotel runs four food and drink venues. Embassy Room La Marina and The Living Room ask for smart casual dress.
Penthouse Bar + Grill was designed by AvroKO as the apartment of an imagined adventurer and art collector. The Grill cooks meat and seafood over organic charcoal in a KOPA oven and parrilla under Mexican-born chef Marco Chávez Jaime, with tableside service; the Cocktail Bar has live music, and the Rooftop Bar is an outdoor garden lounge looking over the skyline. Drinks are led by mixologist Fabio Brugnolaro.
Embassy Room La Marina cooks Italian coastal food inspired by fishing-village marinas and fresh produce markets, for lunch, dinner and an à la carte Sunday brunch; the Embassy Room also serves breakfast.
The Living Room is the all-day space under large art installations, serving international and Thai comfort food, loose-leaf tea, barista coffee and afternoon tea.
Exclusive Sweets at The Park is the hotel's pastry shop for cakes, cookies and chocolates to take away.
