About

Siam Center opened in 1973, and its owner Siam Piwat counts it as Thailand's first shopping mall built to international standards. A 2013 rebuild turned it into what the company calls The Ideaopolis, and today it is the Siam Square mall to choose for streetwear, Thai labels and Thai pop-culture design rather than luxury houses.

It suits younger shoppers, anyone hunting for Thai brands to take home, and collectors of toys and figures. Getting here is simple: BTS Siam, where the Sukhumvit and Silom lines cross, has an exit straight into the building, and its sister mall Siam Discovery is next door.

Four floors, four moods

The ground floor, Fashion Avenue, is the big-brand level, with Nike, Adidas, JD Sports, Vans and HOKA alongside Sephora and Lush. Fashion Galleria, the mezzanine, mixes shoes and accessories from Dr. Martens, Converse and Charles & Keith with Pop Mart's collectible figures.

The 1st floor, Fashion Visionary, carries most of the mall's creative streak. Siam Piwat's own Absolute Siam Store sits here with names such as Greyhound Original, Carolina Lamke, Pomelo, Matter Makers, Leisure Project and Panpuri. The same floor serves collectors, with The Gundam Base, Gashapon Bandai Official and Tamashii Spot.

Food Factory

The 2nd floor is almost all restaurants, mostly casual chains: Thai kitchens such as Baanying, grill-your-own Bar B Q Plaza, ramen and tonkatsu counters, Korean chicken and a suki buffet. For coffee and dessert, Greyhound Café and After You are on the floor below.

Shopping as a visitor

Stores showing the VAT Refund for Tourists sign will fill in the refund form on the day you buy if you have your passport with you, so carry it. Siam Piwat's ONESIAM Tourist Card, applied for online, adds discounts at participating brands here and at the company's other malls, including Siam Paragon and ICONSIAM.
