Central Embassy is Central Group's luxury flagship, built on land that was once the gardens of the British Embassy, on the corner where Wireless Road meets Phloen Chit Road. Its six-storey retail podium sits under the curving tower that holds the Park Hyatt Bangkok, and the ground and first floors are given to the big fashion houses, among them Chanel, Hermès, Gucci and Prada.

It suits luxury shoppers, but it is just as useful for a Thai meal in the basement food hall or an hour among the books on the top floor.
