If you are wondering where to store luggage in Bangkok, the most reliable options are the staffed left-baggage counters at both airports, which run 24 hours, and a network of luggage counters inside central shopping malls such as MBK Center, Terminal 21 Asok, CentralWorld and ICONSIAM. Your hotel's bell desk is the other obvious choice if you are checking in late or leaving on an evening flight.
Which one makes sense depends on where your day starts and ends. If you have a long layover or an early arrival, store bags at the airport. If you have checked out and want a last afternoon in the city, leave them at a mall counter on your route to the airport train.
Luggage storage at Suvarnabhumi Airport
Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok's main international airport, has more than one staffed storage service. Airports of Thailand's own airport guide lists Bellugg, with counters on the arrivals level (2nd floor, near Gate 4 and the Tourist Police) and the departures level (4th floor, near check-in rows P and Q), both open 24 hours. Bellugg charges by bag size, and it issues a receipt when you drop off. AIRPORTELs also has a 24-hour counter on the B floor in the Airport Rail Link zone, which is convenient if you are heading into the city by train.
The airport storage counters work well for day trips: land, drop the big cases, take the Airport Rail Link into the city with a daypack, and collect everything when you come back for your next flight. Luggage storage at Don Mueang Airport
Don Mueang, the older airport used mainly by low-cost and domestic flights, lists two services in Terminal 2 on the AOT airport guide: a left-baggage service on the 2nd floor in the departures zone, and AIRPORTELs on the 1st floor in the arrivals zone (the operator gives the location as Gate 9). Luggage storage in central Bangkok
The largest city network we could verify belongs to AIRPORTELs, which runs staffed counters inside malls and busy neighborhoods. Most city counters open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily; a few keep shorter hours. The operator says there is no size limit, charges per piece and recommends booking ahead to guarantee space. Its Bangkok counters include:
- MBK Center (Siam and National Stadium): 6th floor, near the eatery zone. MBK is linked to BTS National Stadium, which is also the station for Jim Thompson House.
- Terminal 21 Asok (Sukhumvit): 1st floor, Tokyo zone. The mall connects to BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit; our pages on what to eat at Terminal 21 and things to do around Asok can fill the hours.
- CentralWorld (Ratchaprasong): two counters on the 1st floor, in the Hug Thai and Groove zones.
- ICONSIAM (riverside, Thonburi bank): B2 floor, Siam Takashimaya zone.
- EmSphere and Emporium (Phrom Phong): for travelers staying on lower Sukhumvit.
- Mixt Chatuchak: 2nd floor, useful for a last morning at Chatuchak Weekend Market. Hours are shorter than the malls in the center.
- Yaowarat (Chinatown): 2nd floor of the Pichaiyat Building. This counter closes early and is shut on Sundays, so plan pickup before an evening in Chinatown.

Hotel bell desks
For most travelers the simplest free option is the hotel. Many hotels will hold bags for guests before check-in and after check-out, though policies vary, so ask at the front desk and keep the tag they give you. Tips before you leave your bags
- Keep valuables with you. Passports, cash, electronics and medicines belong in your day bag, not your stored case.
- Photograph your receipt or tag, and note the counter's closing time.
- Check the insurance terms if you are storing anything valuable; the operators publish their own conditions.
- Allow time on the way back. Collecting bags from a mall counter and then crossing town in rush-hour traffic can take longer than expected.
