Its location page notes that the Skytrain runs from 6 a.m. to midnight, which covers most dinner plans. The tower, shaped after the Thai wai greeting, has 158 rooms by the MICHELIN Guide's count, and the guide gives it Two Keys. It is a strong choice for travelers who plan meals across the city but want to come home to good ones too: Nan Bei, in the MICHELIN selection, is known for lychee-wood-roasted Peking duck, and Lakorn cooks regional Thai food. Lennon's, the vinyl-lined speakeasy on the 30th floor, is for guests 20 and over. Pets up to 10 kg are accepted for a fee.
The St. Regis Bangkok: a skybridge to Ratchadamri
The St. Regis Bangkok links to Ratchadamri BTS station by a private skybridge, which puts the Silom Line at the door, with Siam to the north and the Silom business district to the south. The hotel faces the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, and rooms on that side look over the golf course, a long green view in the middle of the city. All 228 rooms and suites come with 24-hour butler service. IGNIV Bangkok, on the ground floor, holds one MICHELIN star for its sharing menu by Swiss chef Andreas Caminada's team, and Zuma occupies the ground floor too. The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon: Exit 3 at Chong Nonsi
The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon is in King Power Mahanakhon, the pixelated tower on Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road, and the tower's operator gives direct access from Exit 3 of BTS Chong Nonsi on the Silom Line. That is handy for the river: Saphan Taksin, where the Chao Phraya boats stop, is on the same line. The hotel's 155 rooms are on floors 8 to 18, from 29-square-meter kings to penthouses with kitchens, and dogs up to 18 kg can stay. Shangri-La Bangkok: the river and the rail line
Shangri-La Bangkok is the one riverside hotel on this list that claims a direct rail connection: the hotel says it has direct access to the BTS Skytrain and the public ferry terminal, though its pages don't name the station. That combination is rare, because most hotels on the Chao Phraya depend on shuttle boats to reach the BTS. The hotel is large, with 802 rooms in two wings, two pools, tennis courts and nine restaurants and bars, and river-view rooms are worth requesting because entry rooms in the main wing have only partial views. The Krungthep Wing's rooms all face the river from verandas. It is not in the MICHELIN hotel selection. It suits families and groups who want the river without giving up the Skytrain.

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel: a minute from Ratchadamri
Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel states that it is a minute's walk from Exit 4 of Ratchadamri BTS station, which is about as close as a hotel gets without a skybridge. The hotel also calls the Ratchaprasong malls, including CentralWorld and Siam Paragon, a short stroll. Its 335 rooms have been renovated, and some face the Royal Bangkok Sports Club golf course. It is a practical pick for families with pets, since cats and dogs up to 10 kg are welcome, parking is free, and there is a Kids' Club. Waldorf Astoria Bangkok: 350 meters to Ratchadamri

The MRT runs to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and Benjakitti Park, one stop away, and on to Chinatown and Sanam Chai for the Grand Palace, while the BTS heads toward Siam. The hotel also runs a free shuttle to Sukhumvit Road. It is the budget-minded choice on this list: a 407-room tower on Soi 18 with rooms being renovated in stages, a 4th-floor pool and a 24th-floor gym, but no spa. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok: 800 meters to Chit Lom

Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok says BTS Siam is within walking distance, without giving a figure, and it runs a free golf cart to the station and to CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, Siam Center and Siam Discovery. Siam is where the Sukhumvit and Silom lines meet, so it is the most flexible station in the city. The hotel itself is behind Siam Paragon, linked by a covered walkway, with 397 rooms set around gardens and saltwater pools. Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River: 15 minutes to Saphan Taksin
Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is on the river, and the hotel gives Saphan Taksin BTS (Exit 4) as about a 15-minute walk, near Charoen Krung Soi 62. That is the longest walk on this list, and the alternative is the free hotel boat, which runs to Sathorn Pier beside the station every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The hotel has 299 rooms in low buildings among gardens and pools, a free kids' club, and BKK Social Club as its cocktail bar.
