Location and getting around
The hotel stands at 151 Ratchadamri Road, close to the Ratchaprasong intersection and the Erawan Shrine, in the Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard development. The hotel lists Ratchadamri BTS station about 350 meters away and Chit Lom about 400 meters away, so you can choose the Silom line toward the business district from Ratchadamri or the Sukhumvit line from Chit Lom, and use the Skytrain rather than a taxi when the roads around the intersection jam. For shopping, CentralWorld and the Gaysorn mall are around the intersection, and inside Gaysorn Paste serves a historical Thai menu.
Parking is free, with both self-parking and valet, and both Bangkok airports are about 28 km away by the hotel's figures. It arranges private Mercedes-Benz transfers, including a van for larger groups.
Rooms and suites
André Fu gave the rooms a residential feel in Carrara marble, rich woods and bronze. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a round dining table that doubles as a desk, and marble bathrooms with double vanities and a soaking tub are standard, and the suites add curved walls and wider city views. The two-bedroom Waldorf Suites on levels 12 and 14 cover 200 square meters with a dining table for six, which works for families or friends sharing a stay. Connecting rooms, cribs and accessible rooms are available.
With 171 rooms, the hotel is smaller than its neighbors on Ratchadamri Road: The St. Regis has 228 keys and Anantara Siam 335. Those rooms share a full tower with a leisure floor on level 16 and three restaurant levels at the top, from 55 to 57.
Dining and bars
New York design studio AvroKO dressed the restaurants on levels 55 to 57 in a 1930s blend of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Dress is smart casual throughout. The hotel is in the MICHELIN Guide's Bangkok hotel selection without a Key, and none of its restaurants is in the current guide.
- The Brasserie is the all-day room on the Upper Lobby, with a breakfast buffet built around the Eggs Benedict that the brand credits to its original New York hotel, and a lunch of Western and Thai comfort dishes.
- Bull & Bear, on level 55, is the steakhouse, grilling premium cuts over a custom open flame, with a raw bar and skyline views.
- Front Room cooks home-style Thai food balanced across the eight Thai flavors, in a dining room eight meters high under more than 200 lanterns recalling the Yi Peng festival.
- The Loft is the evening cocktail bar, styled as a vintage New York artist's studio and drawing on the old Waldorf Astoria bar book.
- Peacock Alley overlooks the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and serves pastries, afternoon tea, light meals and wine through the day.

Pool, spa and fitness
The pool and spa share level 16, well above the street. The 25-meter heated infinity pool has cabanas and daybeds set over the water, and the Waldorf Astoria Spa gives each private treatment room its own steam room and rain shower, so there is no shared wet area to schedule around. The signature Vitality ritual pairs massage with a magnolia-scented candle, jade acupressure tools and a Chiang Mai crystal bowl. The gym never closes and has its own sauna and steam room, useful for early-morning arrivals.
Meetings and events
The hotel has about 1,727 square meters of event space, which suits business travelers who need a meeting room in the same building as their suite, and wedding parties who want the ceremony, the dinner and the rooms under one roof. The restaurant levels at the top of the tower also give private dinners a skyline backdrop, although the Champagne Bar is the only venue the hotel reserves exclusively for private events.
Families, pets and accessibility
Families have connecting rooms, cribs and childcare, and the two-bedroom Waldorf Suites sleep up to six. There is no kids' club listed, so children's entertainment is the pool and the city. The hotel admits service animals only, and the building is smoke-free. Accessible rooms are available; confirm the specific features you need when booking.

Waldorf Astoria Bangkok suits travelers who want a design-led, well-connected hotel for shopping, business or a couples' city break, and who value a spa and pool high above the street. It suits less well pet owners, travelers set on a MICHELIN-starred dinner in the building, and anyone who wants gardens or the river.
