The best Sukhumvit hotels are the ones joined to a BTS station. At Asok, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 and Solaria Nishitetsu link to both the BTS and the MRT. Hyatt Regency has a skybridge to Nana for nightlife. Pick Phrom Phong for the malls and Thong Lo for restaurants.

Sukhumvit Road runs east from central Bangkok for miles, so the soi you book on matters more than the neighbourhood name. We grouped these hotels by BTS station and checked each hotel's own website on October 30, 2026 for how it describes the walk to the train.

Where we quote a distance or a time, it is the hotel's figure, not ours. For the map, read where Sukhumvit is in Bangkok. For how it compares with the river or Siam, see where to stay in Bangkok.

Which Sukhumvit hotels connect straight to the BTS?

Five hotels on this list say you can reach a station without walking at street level, or almost. That matters in Bangkok, where the midday heat and the rainy season make a 10-minute walk feel much longer.

At Asok, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit says it is "directly connected to BTS Asok Station and MRT Sukhumvit Station via an exclusive sky bridge." Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 says it has "direct access to the Asok BTS station," which in turn connects to MRT Sukhumvit.

Solaria Nishitetsu says it is directly connected to Exit 4 of BTS Asok and a minute's walk from Exit 3 of MRT Sukhumvit. Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit describes "direct access to the BTS SkyTrain and close proximity to the MRT station."

One stop west, Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit says it has direct access to Nana station. Our listing describes it as a skybridge from the hotel to the station.

Asok is where the BTS Sukhumvit Line meets the MRT Blue Line (the MRT station there is called Sukhumvit). If you plan to ride both, an Asok hotel saves a change of train at the start and end of each day. Our guide to the BTS explains the lines and tickets.

Where should you stay near Nana for nightlife?

Nana and Soi 11 are Sukhumvit's best-known nightlife strip. These three hotels put you within a short walk of it.

Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit sits on Soi 13 with direct access to Nana station. Its rooftop bar, the Spectrum Lounge and Bar, is in the same building, so the last stretch home is a lift ride.

La Petite Salil Sukhumvit 11 is a boutique hotel on Soi 11 itself. The hotel gives Nana BTS as 450 metres away and MRT Sukhumvit as 850 metres.

It also says you are "mere steps from Sukhumvit 11's renowned bar and club scene." That is the draw, and also the reason light sleepers may prefer a hotel off the soi. Nearby bars include Above Eleven, and the Rabbit Hole cocktail bar is a short ride east in Thong Lo.

The Landmark Bangkok is on the main road. It says it is a short walk from Nana station, and its site sells it as a base for shopping, restaurants and bars.

Is there a quieter option between Nana and Phloen Chit?

Yes. JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok is on Sukhumvit Soi 2, at the western end of the road, close to the business district. The hotel says it is "only a 2-minute walk to the Ploenchit or Nana BTS Skytrain station." Soi 2 is away from the Soi 11 bars, which are still one stop away, or a short walk. It suits a trip that mixes meetings with a night or two out.

Which hotels sit right on Asok and Terminal 21?

Asok is the most convenient station in Sukhumvit, and these three hotels are the closest to it.

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, on Sukhumvit between Sois 13 and 15, has a sky bridge to both lines. It says Terminal 21 is "just moments away" and that EmSphere, Benjakitti Park and the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) are "within easy reach." Its dining includes the Belga Rooftop Bar and Brasserie and a poolside terrace.

Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 shares a roof with the Terminal 21 mall, so the mall is in the same building. Its site lists an outdoor garden with a jogging track, an infinity pool, a lap pool, a tennis court and a golf putting range.

When we checked on October 30, it was also running a room deal that included BTS One-Day Passes. Check whether that offer is still on before you book.

Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Bangkok is on Soi 14, with a link to Exit 4 of Asok station and a rooftop. It is the simplest pick if you mainly want a modern room on top of the interchange.

Which Asok hotels have the best pools and gardens?

If you plan to spend afternoons at the hotel, two Asok addresses stand out for their grounds.

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit faces Terminal 21 across Sukhumvit Road. It describes lush gardens, a free-form swimming pool and the alfresco Sala restaurant, with views over Lake Rachada and the city.

Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit has 338 rooms and suites, a 30-metre pool on the tenth floor, a spa, a fitness studio and a Kids Zone. It also runs the MICHELIN Guide-listed Wah Lok Cantonese restaurant and the Cooling Tower rooftop bar. Its FAQ puts BTS Asok about 400 metres away (a 6-minute walk to Exit 6) and MRT Sukhumvit about 360 metres away.

On Soi 18, the Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok calls itself a stay near BTS Asok and runs a complimentary shuttle. We cover it in our Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok review and its listing.

Which Sukhumvit hotels suit Phrom Phong and the malls?

Phrom Phong is the shopping stop, with EmQuartier, Emporium and the newer EmSphere around the station, and Benchasiri Park beside them.

Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park is on Soi 22, a 1,388-room hotel with two pools. It says you "stay a step from EmSphere and BTS Phrom Phong." It is also near QSNCC, which is handy for conferences.

Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok is on Soi 24. The hotel says it is "within blocks of the Emporium, and EmQuartier mall," and that the BTS is "just steps from the hotel." It has a rooftop infinity pool. The streets around it are full of restaurants and shops, a good fit for families or a longer stay.

Is Thong Lo a good base for a Sukhumvit hotel?

Yes, if you care more about restaurants and bars than about being near the sights. Thong Lo (Soi 55) and the sois around it are known for their restaurants and bars. It is further from the old city, though, so allow extra time to reach the Grand Palace.

Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit is on Soi 57 and names BTS Thonglor as its station. It has a rooftop pool and a steakhouse, and the Octave Rooftop Lounge and Bar sits at the top of the building. For more on the area, read our Thonglor guide.

Which station should you choose?

  • First trip, and you want the easiest transport: Asok, for the BTS-MRT interchange and Terminal 21.
  • Nightlife: Nana, around Sois 11 and 13.
  • Shopping, parks or a family stay: Phrom Phong, for EmQuartier, Emporium and Benchasiri Park.
  • Restaurants and a local feel: Thong Lo.
