lebua at State Tower is the hotel to book when the evening matters as much as the room. Every one of its 179 units is a suite with a separate bedroom, a living room and a balcony, and the top of the same building is The Dome at lebua, home to Sirocco, Sky Bar and two restaurants that each hold two MICHELIN stars. It suits couples on a special trip, families who need two or three bedrooms together, and travelers who want a rooftop dinner with only an elevator ride home. It is not a resort: there is a pool and gym but no spa on the hotel's pages, and the famous top floors draw big crowds of non-guests.

Location and getting around
lebua occupies part of State Tower, the gold-domed skyscraper at 1055 Silom Road where Silom meets the river district of Bang Rak. The building is close to the Chao Phraya rather than on its bank, so the river is a view rather than a front garden. lebua says Saphan Taksin BTS station is roughly a five-minute walk from the tower entrance, which gives you the Skytrain toward Silom and Siam, and Sathorn Pier beside the station is where the river boats and several hotel shuttle boats stop.
The location also puts you inside the riverside hotel district without paying riverside rates for a full resort. Shangri-La Bangkok is in the same Bang Rak neighborhood, and the BTS Silom line runs from Saphan Taksin toward Chong Nonsi, the station for King Power Mahanakhon SkyWalk.
Suites
Space is the value proposition. Even the standard lebua Suite has a bedroom separated from a living room, with a balcony facing either the city or the river; the river side is worth requesting. Premium Suites sit on the 51st and 52nd floors. Two-bedroom suites sleep up to five and the three-bedroom suite up to seven, which makes lebua one of the simpler ways for a family or group of friends to share one unit in central Bangkok.
Two practical points. First, balcony doors are unlocked only on request, when every guest in the suite is at least 14 and a balcony form has been signed at check-in, so families with younger children will have the view through glass. Second, floors 53 to 59 of the same tower are Tower Club at lebua, a separate all-suite hotel with its own booking, so compare both before you commit.
The Dome: restaurants and bars
The Dome is the reason most guests choose lebua. Restaurants take bookings by phone or WhatsApp, and the bars are walk-in only. Most venues ask for smart casual dress, Mezzaluna, Chef's Table and Pink Bar ask for smart elegant, and sleeveless shirts for men, sportswear, flip-flops and swimwear are refused throughout. There is no luggage storage at The Dome, which matters on check-out day.
- Sirocco is the original open-air Mediterranean restaurant under the golden dome, with live jazz most nights, and welcomes all ages.
- Mezzaluna, on the 65th floor, serves a seven-course French tasting menu through a Japanese chef's lens and holds two MICHELIN stars in the 2026 Thailand guide.
- Chef's Table, on the 61st floor, serves contemporary French tasting menus and also holds two MICHELIN stars. Both starred rooms admit children from age 7 with an adult.
- Breeze on the 52nd floor, reached by an LED-lit skywalk, serves open-air Cantonese-led cooking by Chef Sam Pang.
- Sky Bar on the 64th floor is the circular open-air bar, drinks only, with a one-drink minimum.
The same floors hold several smaller bars, including Distil for rare spirits, Flûte for Champagne, Alfresco 64 for whisky and lebua No. 3 for gin and caviar; some are for guests aged 20 and over. Pool and fitness
The open-air pool on the M floor is served by Café Mozu, and the fitness center overlooks it; both open early and close in the late evening. A 51st-floor business center has meeting rooms for up to 12 people. That is the full facilities list: no spa appears on lebua's pages for this hotel, so book a treatment elsewhere if wellness is part of the plan.
Recognition
The MICHELIN Guide includes lebua at State Tower in its Bangkok hotel selection without a Key; the stars belong to Mezzaluna and Chef's Table. lebua also reports ranking third in Thailand and 72nd in the world in the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2025.
Who it suits, and the alternatives
lebua suits travelers who want a big suite and a big night, and who would rather spend on dinner than on a resort they will barely use: couples marking an occasion, groups sharing a multi-bedroom suite, and food travelers planning a two-star dinner. It suits less well anyone looking for a spa, a riverfront garden or a quiet lobby, since The Dome brings visitors through the building every evening.
