Where to buy wholesale clothes in Bangkok, online or in person, comes down to one neighborhood: Pratunam, around the junction of Phetchaburi and Ratchadamri roads. Its anchor is Platinum Fashion Mall, which describes itself as a wholesale and retail mall with more than 2,500 shops, and many of those shops now sell online too, by livestream and social media. Pratunam Market, a few hundred meters away, adds street-level stalls and indoor lanes of clothing and accessories.
This guide is for small boutique owners, resellers and anyone buying in quantity. It covers what each place is, how to buy from Bangkok sellers online, and how to plan a buying day.
Platinum Fashion Mall
Platinum Fashion Mall, at 222 Phetchaburi Road in Ratchathewi, is the building most wholesale buyers start with. The mall calls Pratunam the wholesale fashion hub of ASEAN and lists men's wear, women's wear, bags, leather goods, shoes and accessories among its more than 2,500 shops. The mall publishes opening hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The shops are small units arranged by floor and zone, and the mall's online directory and "shops recommended" pages give the floor and room number of featured stores, for example a women's fashion shop in the basement or a children's clothing shop on the fifth floor. Use the directory to plan a route, because several floors of similar-looking units are easy to lose track of.
- Wholesale or retail: the mall is classed as both, so ask each shop whether it has a wholesale price and what the minimum order is. Terms are set by each shop, not by the mall.
- Tourist privileges: Platinum runs a registration for international visitors that gives an e-coupon with offers from participating stores.
- Facilities: the mall lists an information counter, prayer rooms and a first-aid room, plus currency exchange counters from two Thai banks in its directory.
Buying from Bangkok wholesalers online
If you cannot travel, the most direct online route into Pratunam is through the shops themselves. Platinum encourages its tenants to sell online: in 2025 it ran a program with TikTok Shop, "The Next Seller 2025", training 12 Thai fashion brands to sell by livestream, and the winners said they now sell live regularly alongside their stalls in the mall.
That model suits buyers who can order in Thai or through an agent. Before you pay a seller you have found online:
- Confirm the shop's floor and room number in Platinum's directory or on its own pages, so you know it is a real unit.
- Agree the wholesale price, minimum quantity, sizes and colors in writing.
- Ask how the shop ships abroad and who pays freight, and check your own country's import duties on clothing.
- Start with a small order before committing to a large one.
Platinum's own social accounts, linked from its website, announce promotions and events and are a reasonable place to see which shops are active.
Pratunam Market
Pratunam Market lies around Soi Phetchaburi 21, about 340 meters from Platinum measured in a straight line on the map. It is a looser, older network of stalls and indoor lanes than the mall, with clothing, shoes and bags alongside food stalls. Thailand's tourism authority has cited Pratunam for its range of food and textiles. Because the market is a collection of independent stalls rather than one managed building, there is no single official directory or set of hours; ask stall by stall about quantity prices.
Planning a buying day in Pratunam
Traffic around the Phetchaburi and Ratchaprarop junction is heavy, so arrive by rail or boat if you can. Platinum's own directions are BTS Chit Lom station, exit 6, then the elevated R-Walk; the Airport Rail Link to Ratchaprarop station if you are coming from the airport; and the canal boat to Pratunam Pier. The mall also lists several city bus routes that stop nearby, including 2, 60, 79 and 511.
- Bring a large wheeled bag or plan to have purchases packed and sent, since bulk buys add up quickly.
- Carry some cash in case a small shop does not take cards; the mall's directory lists bank exchange counters.
- Keep a note of each shop's name and unit number so you can reorder later, in person or online.
The shopping corner of Ratchaprasong is a short ride south, where the Erawan Shrine stands at the main intersection, about 640 meters from Platinum on the map.
