Rooms and views

The six room types run from a 25-square-meter Standard to the 66-square-meter Wat Arun River View Suite, whose freestanding bathtub is placed to face the river. The design is monochrome with warm wood floors, and every room has a Marshall speaker and a Nespresso machine. The view is what you are really choosing: the Wat Arun River View Deluxe has floor-to-ceiling glass and a daybed facing the temple, the single Corner River View Deluxe wraps glass around two walls, and the Wat Po Deluxe looks across the rooftops to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha.

Staying in a small building

The hotel is small in a literal sense. Rooms are spread over four floors reached only by stairs, though staff will carry luggage, and there is no hotel parking. The hotel does not supply cribs or rollaway beds and has no connecting or accessible rooms, so families and anyone with limited mobility should call before booking.

Getting around

This is walking territory rather than rail territory. From the hotel you can cover Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and Museum Siam on foot, and the hotel runs its own Tuk Me Tours by private tuk-tuk to Song Wat, Yaowarat and further afield. Among nearby places to eat, it points guests to Supanniga Eating Room Tha Tien on the same road. Spa treatments come to the room: therapists bring massages to guests after a day of sightseeing.

Meetings and celebrations

Groups can take over the second floor of the restaurant or the Private Meeting Room, both overlooking the river and Wat Arun, and the rooftop can be booked privately for up to 60 guests, with a sound system and DJ equipment on request.

Restaurants and bars

The hotel has one restaurant and one bar, and both are built around the view.

Eatery and Bar sits on the first floor by the water, with an indoor dining room and open-air seating. Executive Chef David Lloyd cooks modern Thai classics with a creative twist from breakfast through dinner, backed by a wine list and signature cocktails. Tables can be reserved online from the hotel's website.

Rooftop Bar opens in the late afternoon on the fifth floor, in time for sunset over Wat Arun, with Thai craft beers, classic and creative cocktails, wine, bar snacks and fresh oysters. Guests can take lounge chairs or sit along the balcony. It is also the hotel's designated smoking area.
