Vesper is a cocktail bar on Convent Road, off Silom Road, that has been pouring its namesake martini since 2014. The team says its most direct inspiration was the London cocktail bars where they had their first Vesper, and the bar still leans British: the current menu, Britain Through Seasons, is built around the moods of an English year.

The martini

The house Vesper is made with Tanqueray gin, Boatyard vodka and Cocchi Americano, and you can have it shaken, stirred or poured straight from the freezer. The bar also keeps a selection of Vesper twists from what it calls its Vesper Bible, so the drink it is named after is a whole section rather than a single line.

Britain Through Seasons

The signature list runs from spring to winter, and each drink carries a note on the classic it is closest to, such as a Ramos Gin Fizz, a Sazerac or a Negroni. The team says it does not restrict itself to British or seasonal ingredients; the idea is to capture the mood of each season, reflecting both the bar manager's British heritage and the bar's home in Bangkok.
