Bangkok's International Festival of Dance & Music is the city's annual season of touring ballet, opera and dance, staged in the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre. The 2026 festival opened on September 5 and closes on October 17, with five performances left when we checked.

Remaining performances

• Monday, October 5, 7 pm: Coco Chanel, ballet by National Theatre Brno. Tickets 2,000-5,000 baht.
• Thursday, October 8, 7 pm: La Traviata by Helikon Opera, a full-scale production with its Moscow orchestra. Tickets 2,500-8,000 baht.
• Saturday, October 10, 7 pm: Madama Butterfly by Helikon Opera. Tickets 2,500-8,000 baht.
• Thursday, October 15, 7 pm: The Pygmalion Effect by Eifman Ballet. Tickets 2,000-5,000 baht.
• Saturday, October 17, 7 pm: Russian Hamlet by Eifman Ballet, the closing night. Tickets 2,000-5,000 baht.

Earlier in the run, the festival presented New York City Opera, the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, Deborah Colker Dance Company, Sadeck Berrabah's Murmuration Level 2, a circus Alice in Wonderland and The Great Gatsby.

Each show has its own page on the festival site, with a link to buy through Thai Ticket Major. Prices step down in five tiers by seat.

Getting there

The Thailand Cultural Centre is on Thiam Ruam Mit Road in Huai Khwang, next to the MRT station named after it. Evening traffic on Ratchadaphisek is heavy, so the MRT is the easier way in for a 7 pm curtain.
