Blue by Alain Ducasse
About
Blue by Alain Ducasse is the French chef's Bangkok restaurant, set on the first floor of ICONSIAM's ICONLUXE wing with floor-to-ceiling windows over the Chao Phraya. Peruvian executive chef Evens López leads the kitchen, and the restaurant holds one MICHELIN star in the 2026 Thailand guide.
It suits a French lunch or dinner built into a day on the west bank, and diners who want a starred meal they can size to the occasion, from three courses to seven. The restaurant is in Khlong San inside ICONSIAM, which is served by Charoennakorn Station on the BTS Gold Line and by boats from Sathorn Pier, below BTS Saphan Taksin.
The room
The interior is by Jouin Manku, the Paris studio of designer Patrick Jouin and architect Sanjit Manku, in royal blue, gold, cream and natural wood. A pleated chandelier hangs over the circular dining area, and the river fills the windows. Two private rooms share the view: the Bronze Room seats up to six at a round wooden table, and the mirrored Pink Room takes eight to ten.
The cooking
López cooks product-led French food, working local flavors into classical technique. The MICHELIN Guide singles out a heritage tomato starter that turns Thai and French tomatoes into jellies and consommé, and a lamb rack with fig leaf. Meals end with a collection of Alain Ducasse seasonal desserts, executive pastry chef and baker Christophe Grilo is in charge of the breads and pastries, and the wine list is French, deepest in Burgundy and Bordeaux.
Choosing a menu
The same set menus run at lunch and dinner: a three-course Découverte, a five-course Voyage and a seven-course Signature menu, with caviar as an optional course. Lunch is the easier way in, and Tuesday and Wednesday are dinner only. The kitchen adapts to most allergies and dietary preferences, but the restaurant says it cannot currently serve vegan menus, so raise any needs when you book.
Café of Blue
Across from the restaurant in ICONLUXE, Café of Blue by Alain Ducasse is its all-day offshoot, with an à la carte menu of savory dishes, pastries and afternoon tea, and a Social Hour of cocktails in the early evening. It is the lighter option on a shopping day at the mall.
